A digital media company promoting holistic wellness and inner beauty for women of color (29,800 UMVs).
Black Girl In Om’s goals was to create engaging social media aligned with its social mission and values. Initially, the brand wanted to grow its social media following and engagement by 25%.
Using branded imagery and guidelines we created copy that spoke to educated, urban women of color. To deepen partnerships within the community, we collaborated with BGIO’s Art Director, Deun Ivory, to identify photographers in the community who aligned with the brand’s visual aesthetic and whom we could promote alongside our content. Leveraging our strong Twitter presence, we hosted monthly chats partnering with influencers and beauty professionals to discuss topics related to wellness, beauty, and sisterhood.
From October 2016 to October 2017, Black Girl In Om saw a 55.8% increase in Facebook fans and a 125% increase in Facebook engagement. Twitter saw a 108.4% increase in followers and a 169.7% increase in engagement.
